Seeking Concrete Testing Technicians to perform the testing required of concrete production in accordance with relevant New Zealand standards and published Standard Operating Procedures. Location of work is in Bombay. Duties will include: ● Ensuring concrete production is sampled and tested at a frequency as directed by Management. ● Ensuring raw materials are sampled, tested at the required frequency and that the data is entered into. ● Command QC accurately in a timely manner. ● Testing on-site is performed when requested or directed. ● Work with production and delivery teams to ensure product variability is kept to a minimum and that customers receive product as specified and within allowable tolerances. ● Assisting with the identification of problems with fresh and finished products and recommending remedial solutions. ● Dealing with complaints and issues that arise while at customer sites, appropriately by directing them to the appropriate Holcim personnel. ● Liaising closely with plant managers / supervisors and batchers as required. ● Undertaking testing at customer sites as directed. ● Maintaining good relationships with customers particularly in on-site situations where the incumbent is often the prime representative of Holcim. Job Requirements

● The incumbent will be required to be flexible both with working hours and location as technical support may be provided at any one of our concrete plants/sites or various customer sites. ● The position is seen as an entry point into concrete technology. The incumbent must continually build on their experience and knowledge in all areas of concrete production, design and its properties under the numerous conditions of use. ● There is a requirement to travel to attend meetings, visit other sites and attend training and other divisional activities. ● In addition to the roles and responsibilities covered here there is an expectation that the incumbent will be flexible in their approach to changed and varied opportunities within the company which may change over time. Secondary school qualifications with a high degree of mathematical skills essential. ● Tertiary qualification in Science or Engineering highly desirable. ● New Zealand concrete technicians course highly desirable. ● City and Guilds Concrete qualification highly desirable. ● Basic computer skills. ● Able to pass a MOJ check ● Able to pass a drug test ● Able to pass a medical check as required ● Own reliable transport ● Class 2 to train to obtain Class 4. If you don't have Class 2 or Class 4 but meet the job requirements, your application will be considered.
