A well-known Nelson cafe is looking for an experienced chef to join their team. The successful applicant will have a wide range of skills as well as the ability to work well under pressure. The role involves developing menus, prep work, stock control, managing staff and understanding and following food safety regulation. Ideally you will have at least 3 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen. Good communication, organisational skills, a passion for food, and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential requisites. Remuneration starts at $30.00 an hour, but may be higher depending on skills and experience.

You will have an understanding of food hygiene and knowledge of food safety regulations.
