About this job

You will be responsible for assisting the Maintenance Manager with day to day operations of the Maintenance Department.

All duties apply to the entire property both exterior & interior as well as associated buildings that might affect the operations of the hotel. Taking direction from the Maintenance Manager, Rooms Division Manager and/or General Manager as well as maintaining a proactive approach.

General duties include but not limited to: cleaning, painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, sanitation stations, IT installations, hardware & software maintenance.

Preventative duties: Paint touch ups, checking card reader batteries, cleaning air con filters, ensuring electrical appliances are in working order, checking alarm systems, testing fire dampers etc.

Job Requirements

-Previous or similar experience required for this role with a excellent maintenance skill base

-Have an understanding of BOW (Building Warrant of Fitness) and Compliance requirements

-Guest focused, providing efficient and professional service to all guests

-Physical fitness to cope with labour intensive operation

-Flexible and a team player

-Must be able to pass a Police Check

8am-4pm rotating roster weekdays & weekends (30 hours per week)
