Apple Thinner

Come and work for a family-owned business operating a vineyard as well as being the only export apple grower in the region, providing our staff with unique diversity and experience. Located within 5 minutes of Blenheim in the magnificent Marlborough region. We have an opportunity for work starting in November and working through until Christmas. Primarily you will be helping us thin apples as well as some small jobs in the vineyard such as wire-lifting. We would love to hear from you if you're keen, motivated, reliable, and happy to work outside. You will need to be reasonably fit and comfortable working with a ladder. We offer full training and you will be working on piece rate which gives you the opportunity to earn significantly more than the standard hourly rate if you put in the effort. We're also offering a minimum wage rate of $23.15 per hour The aim is to complete 40+ hours a week, Monday to Friday with Saturday optional, weather permitting. We would also consider flexi contracts for people are not able to commit to 40 hours per week

To be successful in this role, applicants must have a good level of fitness, be comfortable with heights and have a positive attitude. A pre-employment drug test will be required due to the work done on ladders. Only minor, historic criminal convictions will be considered on a case by case basis at the employer’s discretion. You will also have a minimum of a restricted drivers license.
