We are seeking a Whanau Kaimahi to work within our mandated team in a full-time capacity.

The role involves managing a caseload of tane and/or wahine referred to our non-violence programmes. You will complete assessments alongside wahine or tane to understand and identify their treatment needs and create a treatment plan. These roles also prepare and facilitate individual and group programmes during the day, evenings, and periodically on the weekends.

These programmes are tailored for wahine and tane aged 18 and over. The programmes help people to examine unhelpful patterns of thinking and beliefs. and strengthen interpersonal and emotion regulation skills. The goal of these programmes is to reduce the risk of family harm and keep whanau safe.

Job Requirements

Ideally: - Experience working with Maori and within a Kaupapa Maori environment. - A background in family harm reduction or a passion for keeping whanau safe. - Experience in facilitation, including developing, planning, and preparing group and individual programme sessions to enable optimal participation and effective learning. - Experience in creating safety plans. - A high level of time management and organisational skills. - A high level of detail orientation when completing assessments and creating plans and programme content. - A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. - Be living a life free from violence. - A current full driver’s licence.
