Weekend Cook
About this job
We are looking for a reliable weekend cook who is committed to delivering food services for inpatients in a way that caters for their special dietary needs or desires, and offers a tasty nutritionally balanced selection of meals. This is a weekend sole charge role and you will be required to work every weekend alongside our dedicated team of volunteers and staff. You will be a passionate and innovative person capable of producing appealing meals tailored to the specific needs of our residents, while also utilizing catering opportunities to help raise funds for our facility.
*Please Note: This is a fixed term contract to cover a period of leave
Job Requirements
We ask candidates possess the following: Proven experience as a chef/cook in a healthcare, hospitality, or catering environment A strong understanding of dietary needs and nutrition, especially for the elderly and those in hospice care Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills Certificate in food safety and handling is desirable
