Temp Barista

A cafe in Whangaparaoa is on the lookout for a talented Barista to join their team. You will be involved in all aspects of cafe life, mastering the art of coffee making and playing a key role in delivering excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will be on a temporary contract, with the possibility of it turning into a permanent after the three-month trial period.

Duties include: • Serving customer and making coffee (on average up to 130 cups a day) • Collaborating with the team to ensure the quality and efficiency of coffee production • Operating and maintaining the coffee machine and grinder • Keeping the coffee bar area clean, organized, and stocked. • Assisting the front-of-house team with taking orders, using the point-of-sale system and preparing cold drinks

The cafe's operating hours are listed below for reference: Monday to Saturday, 6:30am - 5:00pm Sunday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

• More than 1 year barista experience, able to make coffees independently and efficiently • Friendly personality with a strong commitment to service and accountability, dedicated to ensuring customer satisfaction. • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends • Honest, trustworthy, and dedicated to maintaining a strong work ethic. • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check, strictly no convictions • Hold a restricted or full Class 1 driver licence with a reliable transport
