Come join a Local Kapiti Employer as a Cleaning Supervisor or Cleaner!! The Supervisor’s overall role is to ensure that cleaning work is undertaken as per the site cleaning schedule and to a high standard for their designated contracts and are expected to oversee the Cleaners performance for their set contracts, while providing guidance and support. The cleaner role is to ensure cleaning tasks are undertaken as per the site cleaning schedule.
Duties include:
• Follow the cleaning schedule as designated by the Supervisor. • Prepare for the days’ work by checking equipment and supplies are adequate and in working order. • Use correct lifting and bending technique by bending knees and keeping back straight. • Follow safe work practices provided by the company. • Ensure security procedures for keys and locking/unlocking buildings are followed. • Wear protective equipment as necessary. • Report any hazards or unsafe work practices to the Supervisor or Contracts Manager immediately. Coastlands - Supervisor Role - $24.00 Tuesday: 15:00 - 17:30, Wednesday: 15:00 - 17:30, Thursday: 15:00 - 19:00 Coastlands - Cleaner Role - $23.15 Tuesday: 10:00 - 16:30, Thursday: 12:00 - 15:00, Saturday: 09:00 - 17:30
Kapiti College Cleaner - $23.15 Mon to Fri 4pm to 7pm Queen Elizabeth Park - Cleaner Role - $27.80 Saturday and Sunday: 5:00 am - 07:00 am

Job Requirements
OH&S Obligations and Responsibilities: • Follow procedures for safe work practices • Report unsafe practices and potential incidents • Do not endanger other employees through unsafe practices • Wear the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the company
Competencies: • Knowledge of cleaning substances and their use in a safe and effective manner • Working knowledge of cleaning tasks required for the job • Capability to recognize good cleaning standards and the need for improvement
Must be able to pass an MOJ check and drug test.
