Group Facilitator - Support Worker

A Support Service Provider is searching for a Group Facilitator to join their team. The Group Facilitator works flexible hours, between 30 - 40 hours per week from our Upper Hutt office, focusing on adults and children and who are victims of family violence so if you have experience working with both adults and children and managing any risk from family harm we would love to hear from you.
You will be involved with: • The provision of group work and related services to individuals, adults, adolescents, couples, families, and whanau. • Working with children, families, and individuals in a variety of settings including within the prison system. • Facilitating safety programmes, group life skills/parent education courses, support groups and other agreed group programmes. • Developing and leading life skills/education and support group programmes for adults, young people, and children. • Preparing training resources and evaluation material. • Evaluating course programmes, as well as building and maintaining key relationships within the community.

Job Requirements
• Have experience working with both adults and children and managing any risk from family harm. • Your approach to your work will be with kindness, logic and above all, the drive to do right by the person. • You will be confident and able to manage group dynamics and complexities effectively. • You will be passionate about achieving great outcomes for the people you work with. • You will be knowledgeable, organised and have excellent communication skills. • Be familiar with working in culturally diverse environments. • Be proactive and have good time management and computer skills. • Be able to manage a busy caseload and the associated reporting. • Be part of a supportive team who strive for excellence. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment MOJ check, drug test & police vetting. • Must have the legal right to work in NZ.
