Cook/Chef (Local Club Restaurant)

An opportunity for the position of a Cook /Chef has arisen based at a local Golf Club. As a skilled Cook/Chef, you are able to prepare delicious NZ/European meals according to the menu. You will cook dishes that will delight customers with their taste and timely delivery. As a skilled cook/chef, you must be deft in moving around the kitchen and apt in multi-tasking. Experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques is also important. The goal is to help preserve and enhance our reputation so we can expand our clientele. Responsibilities include; general cooking/chef duties, preparing and cooking food as per order, ensuring quality food production, setting-up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment, general cleaning duties. No Exceptions/Must Haves: • No criminal convictions. • Proven experience as cook/chef (at least 1 years experience) in NZ cafe-style food. • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware. • Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc). • Ability to follow all hygiene/sanitation procedures. • Ability to work in a team. • Very good communication skills. • Excellent physical condition and stamina. • Own reliable transport to get to work is a must. • Very good personal hygiene.
