Youth Worker
About this job
-Support and mentor young people to achieve personal, social, and educational goals. -Develop and facilitate programs aimed at skill-building, personal growth, and well-being. -Provide guidance and advocacy for youth in need of assistance with issues such as education, employment, and social challenges. -Build positive relationships with young people to foster trust and open communication. -Work collaboratively with schools, families, and community organizations to provide holistic support. -Organize and participate in recreational activities and workshops. -Monitor progress and provide feedback to help youth achieve their goals. -Ensure the safety and well-being of youth during all activities and interventions.
Job Requirements
-Relevant qualification in youth work, social work, or related field (desirable but not always required). -Experience working with young people in a mentoring or supportive role. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Ability to build trust and rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of youth development principles and challenges facing young people. -Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behavior. Strong organizational skills to manage programs and activities. -Valid Driver's Licence
