AIRCRAFT TRADESPERSON (NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING - NDT) We are currently recruiting for tradesperson strong hand skills to join our NDT team in a permanent full-time position. This is perfect for someone who can work in defined processes, is quality and safety oriented, pays close attention to detail, and is willing to learn. You will receive a full training and comprehensive onboarding.
Your Role After completing your induction training you will work in our NDT section completing required work on engine parts, in accordance with the approved data, customer requirements and company procedures. Using our computer system to document and record your work. Ensuring that your work meets all health and safety requirements. This is a safety sensitive role, and all successful candidates will go through a medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing.
Your Profile You have a trade qualification on NZQA Level 4 in Aviation, Automotive, mechanical, heavy diesel, or similar engineering field. Please provide a copy of your relevant qualifications upon application. Experience in Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic particle (equivalent to NAS410) or NDT certification in other NDT methods (Ultrasonic and Eddy Current and Radiography) is beneficial. Experience in working in defined processes and following instructions. Strong hand skills. Good computer literacy. Have a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills. Be a confident, effective communicator and a strong team player. Be passionate about your work and always strive for the best and take pride in your work. Able to work in physical tasks, such as but not limited to: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, carrying, and twisting.
Job Requirements
You have a trade qualification on NZQA Level 4 in Aviation, Automotive, mechanical, heavy diesel, or similar engineering field. Must be able to pass a medical assessment and drug & alcohol testing. Must be able to pass MOJ checks.
- Days of work
- Mon – Friday 7am - 3.30pm and Sunday - Thursday 3.45pm – 12.15am. Fortnightly rotating shift pattern. (40 hours per week)
