Care Support Worker

LINCOLN. We are looking for people who have experience working in the Disability Sector who are able to work 40 hours per week. Will be primarily working with individuals in their home setting, encouraging them to meet other people and to have regular contact with their Family/Whanau, and Friends. Assist residents with daily living activities, including meal preparation, household tasks and community participation. Will also be providing them with the opportunity to learn, experience and practice life skills, and develop work skills. Administering medication and maintaining accurate records and documentation. Providing hands-on personal care and support in accordance with individual care plans, incorporating cultural sensitivity and respect.

A minimum of a Level 2 NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level. Level 3 or above preferable along with: A positive attitude to supporting people with intellectual disability. Excellent communication within English and interpersonal skills, with a solution-focused approach to issues. Great communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent computer skills. A full New Zealand driver's licence.
