About this job

Ensure the vans are fully equipped before driving to site. • Assist the painter in checking cracks and marks, filling holes and cracks • Protect floors, doors and furniture by covering, remove the fixtures before works. • Assemble and disassemble scaffolds, load and unload or move paints, tools, equipment, machine and construction materials around the sites. • Set up ventilators, pressure cleaners • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping using sandpaper, removing old paint coatings • Assist in mixing paints or oils to the correct required colour if required by painters. • Monitor inventory and supplies and report the shortage to painters. • Remove the covers, clean the sites after works • Maintain work tools and machines daily in a responsible and safe manner after the work is done • Re fix the fixtures after work. • Follow Health and Safety regulations.

Job Requirements

Polite, punctual and hard-working • Great attention to details and always stay alert to ensure safety • Have great interest in working in construction or becoming a professional painter. Must be able to work on weekends and night shift jobs to meet deadlines.
