Manawa Ora envisions whaanau reaching their full potential, free of violence and abuse by offering short-term emergency housing to perpetrators of domestic violence. Working on a rotating roster, located at our Emergency House in Hamilton, you’d be a pivotal part of this organisation. This role is focused on providing support to whaanau who are placed in our Emergency Housing service. You will be responsible for inspiring change and wellness by providing sustainable, in-depth assessment, planning, and quality interventions, as well as service coordination of wraparound services to whaanau. Job Requirements

1. Have cross cultural skills and awareness and a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Understanding te ao Maaori/Kaupapa Maaori working environments is also a critical success factor for the role. 2. High degree of initiative, with sound judgement, time management, administrative and organisational skills. 3. Have the ability to quickly work through complex information to make robust, safe decisions and ability to work under pressure. 4. Have good work and personal ethics and a commitment to a violence-free lifestyle. 5. A full drivers licence is essential. 6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is ideal, including a sound level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other applications. 7. Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, whaanau and community groups whilst increasing family violence awareness, understanding or work experience. 8. An uncompromising approach to health and safety 9. Must be able to pass Police MOJ check and drug test
