A local Upper Hutt business is on the lookout for a Venue Manager to join their team. You will be overseeing the running of Pickle & Pie’s day-to-day business: With your team, you will strive to develop and maintain a profitable and efficient business, an enjoyable place to dine at and a fun, inspirational and supportive place to work. In addition, your duties and responsibilities include: • Responsible for overall service on a day-to-day basis • Maintain policies and procedures for running the venue, running service, opening and closing the venue etc • Be a certified liquor licence personnel (LCQ and Duty Manager license) and be responsible for maintaining all policies and laws in regard to the liquor licensing act on the premise, training staff to uphold these • Perform accurate daily cashing up records, and ensure staff know how to do this accurately in your absence. • Review daily and weekly sales, striving towards out annual goal. • Watch reviews and feedback to the team, constantly striving to increase our Google reviews to 4.6 average • Help to prepare the menu when under review, including wine & beer lists • Ensure all equipment & restaurant environments are operational • Establish and maintain relationships with all our suppliers. Order supplies when required, keeping accurate stock levels and ordering • Maintain wage and ‘goods’ cost (25%) • Interview and select staff The ideal candidate must have/be a Hold LCQ and General Manager Certificates (Sale of Liquor Act), training and leadership skills, basic computer skills, excellent communication skills, motivational and leadership skills, customer skills, team player and ability to give instructions.
