Piringa Hapu is seeking an organized Communications Officer & Administration Support to enhance our communication strategies while providing essential administrative assistance. This will be a Full time Fixed Term role for 12 months. If you’re a creative storyteller with a passion for community and organisational development, this could be the perfect role for you! Key Responsibilities: • Develop, write, and edit content for social media, newsletters, press releases, and the website. • Manage social media accounts, including scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and analysing performance. • Assist with public relations strategies, media outreach, and drafting press materials. • Ensure consistent messaging and branding across communication channels. • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, event planning, data management, and preparing reports.
Job Requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite). • Experience with website development using platforms like Hostinger. • Basic understanding of Xero would be advantageous. • Creative thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. • Strong attention to detail and a passion for effective communication. • Criminal convictions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
