After Hours Nurse

Local medical practice are looking to add an After Hours Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care and support to patients. You will be working beside a skilled team of doctors, nurses and admin staff.

This role is critical in ensuring the continuity of care outside of regular medical practice hours and you will assess, treat, and triage patients or provide telehealth services, while ensuring high-quality and timely patient care.

You must have the below prerequisites or transferable skills to be considered for this role: - Have relevant qualifications - Clinical Skills: Ability to assess, diagnose, and manage patients across a wide range of conditions - Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance to patients and collaborate effectively with colleagues - Problem Solving: Ability to work independently, make critical decisions under pressure, and adapt quickly in high-stress situations - Cultural Competency: Understanding and respect for the cultural needs and values of diverse patient populations, particularly Maori and Pacific communities - Flexibility: Willingness to work hours as needed for the After Hours role - Computer literate - You must be able to pass a Police check and Pre-employment drug test and alcohol test, as part of the employment process if required - Hold New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency
