Roofer

An Aranui based employer is seeking a skilled and reliable Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to safety are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities: • Install and repair various types of roofing materials, including shingles, metal, tiles, and flat roofing systems. • Inspect roofs for damage and wear, providing recommendations for repairs or replacements. • Ensure proper ventilation and waterproofing of roofs. • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely. • Follow safety protocols and always use personal protective equipment (PPE). • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition. • Communicate effectively with clients regarding project progress and any issues that arise. • Keep work areas clean and organized.

Qualifications: • Proven experience as a roofer or similar role. • Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. • Strong physical stamina and the ability to work at heights. • Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good communication and teamwork abilities. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a roofer or similar role, hold a minimum of a restricted licence and reliable transport. Convictions will be considered on a case by case basis.
