Full-time temporary night shift positions have become available at a local Meat Works plant. The role: Cutting and separating meat into specific standardised cuts and portions using a combination of bandsaws & knives Bone out/cut carcases to required specification Removing cuts from carcass sides & quarters, using specified cutting lines whilst obtaining maximum yield Trim and sort meat to required specification Identify and isolate product risk/faults and re-work as required Any other further processing tasks as reasonably required Knives are kept to an acceptable sharpness and used safely

Job Requirements

All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug tests Reliable transport to get to and from work is ESSENTIAL Pre employment ACC and MOJ checks to be completed Previous experience in the meat processing industry Knife handling and sharpening skills Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment Have a sound understanding of good hygiene and safety practices You are eligible to work in New Zealand You will pass a pre-employment drug test and medical assessment You are willing and able to follow and respect workplace health and safety You enjoy working within a team environment You are physically fit, committed and reliable

Days of work
Monday to Friday 4.30pm – 2.30am (50 hours per week)
