Restaurant looking for a Sous Chef - Governors Bay Duties will include Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies. Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation. Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, and kitchen and waiting staff. Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures. Preparing and cooking food. Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations. May select and train staff. May freeze and preserve foods.
Job Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Chef in a restaurant environment Stock management, ordering and food safety knowledge is required. This is a role that requires a good leader who can manage staff within our friendly team while working under pressure. This is not an entry level position, although training in our procedures will be given.
