About the Role - Mo te tunga The Whanau Ora Navigator walks alongside whanau to support them to achieve their dreams, goals and aspirations. The navigator will work with individuals and whanau to craft a dreams and aspirations plan that they want to achieve while engaged with the service. The role advocates, supports, and encourages individuals and whanau to meet the challenges, and celebrate their successes. Through the work you do with individuals and whanau their implementation of self-management strategies, and informed decision making. Individuals and whanau will be confident to stand in their own mana motuhake ( self-responsibility/control) over their chosen pathways. The role can be as challenging as it is exciting, and no two days are the same.

Job Requirements
Ideally you would have the following - Passion for working with whanau Maori - Good communication and are computer literate - Passion for working with whanau Maori - Extensive networks and relationships with agencies, Maori hapori (community) and the wider health and social services community - Good communication and are computer literate - Extensive networks and relationships with agencies, Maori hapori (community) and the wider health and social services community - Full NZ drivers license
