Are you a reliable and outgoing individual who enjoys working with the elderly? A local rest home based in Johnsonville is looking for a Recreation Officer to plan and implement engaging activity programs for residents. You'll join a supportive and welcoming team dedicated to enhancing the well-being of older people.
We are looking for someone who: Is creative, flexible, and passionate about organising fun activities for older adults. Enjoys collaborating with residents, families, staff members, and volunteers in a positive, team-oriented environment. Communicates effectively, shows empathy and patience, and maintains confidentiality. Is energetic, full of life, and has a vibrant personality.
Activities include: Physical exercises, music, games like housie, makeup sessions, cooking, crafts, gardening, bowls, parties, and dances.
Job Requirements
Previous experience working with the elderly is preferred but not required. Must pass a police check. We’re seeking someone reliable, personable, creative, and able to work under pressure.
