Tyre Fitter
About this job
A Taumarunui based employer is looking for a tyre fitter. You will need to be physically fit, honest, and reliable for this role with a full clean driver’s license or a restricted license with the ability to obtain your full license.
In this role you will be required to: • Assess tyre damage and wear. • Advise customers on tyres, take phone calls, and serve them as they come in. • Drive vehicles onto hoists or jacks in preparation for tyre removal and repair. • Change, repair or fit tyres. • Balance and pressure-test tyres. • Align wheels. • Test-drive vehicles to diagnose problems and make sure they've been fixed. • Check and safely shelve new and retread tyres.
Great transferable skills for this role are: • Sound knowledge of vehicles and tyres. • Machinery operating experience. • Great health and safety standards. • Wonderful keen attitude.
