Commercial Extraction System Cleaner

OTAGO/DUNEDIN: Our employer requires a Commercial Extraction System Cleaner to become part of our great team. We provided commercial kitchens with cleaning services to ensure that safety, hygiene, insurance and building compliance requirements are met. Normal days of work are Monday to Friday, but hours can vary as we work outside of kitchen operating hours (early mornings, late nights). We are seeking a motivated individual with an eye for detail to join our team cleaning extraction systems in commercial kitchens. Based in Dunedin, with one week of out-of-town work per month in Central Otago and/or Southland. Travel and accommodation provided, plus daily per diem allowance for the days you are out of town. Duties include but are not limited to: • Hood, Flue and Duct cleaning. • Rooftop fan cleaning.

Days and hours: • Casual on for 3 weeks, work through out Dunedin area Normal days of work are Monday to Friday hours vary due to having to work outside of restaurant hours. Must be available for fulltime out of town work in the fourth week. Meals and accommodation provided. • Casual on Call Pay Rate: $27.00 per hour.

No experience is required as full training will be given on site. But all applicants must meet the below prerequisites to be considered for this role, please note if you don’t meet any of these you won’t be considered for this role.

You must have the below prerequisites to be considered for this role: • A clean Full Class 1 Drivers Licence. • You must be able to pass a police check and pre-employment drug test, as part of the employment process. • Relevant Site Safe qualifications an advantage • Have good communication skills with the team and customers. • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and security procedures. • Be reliable and flexible. • Have attention to detail. Be physically fit. • Be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • You must be willing to work and turn up when required. • Hold New Zealand citizenship or have New Zealand Permanent Residency. • Positive attitude, Excellent communication skills, honest and reliable.
