Heavy Truck Driver

An Otahuhu based employer is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be required to pick up the company truck from the depot in Otahuhu and drop it off at the end of each shift.

Duties include: - Transporting goods and materials to customers and company locations around Auckland in a safe and timely manner - Conducting routine truck inspections and maintenance checks - Planning delivery routes, supervising and helping with loading goods - Checking and ensuring the security of the load prior to departing the site - Safely picking up and transporting materials to and from sites - Complying with traffic laws and company safety regulations at all times - Keeping an accurate record of the logbook and invoices of the goods carried - Maintaining truck cleanliness and reporting damages or maintenance needs promptly

• 1-2 years’ of proven experience driving a Class 4 manual truck (6 speed) • Strong commitment to Health & Safety and physically fit to handle the demands of the job • Excellent communication skills and a high standard of personal presentation as role involves interacting with customers face-to-face • Hold a full Class 4 driver licence with a reliable transport and clean driving record • Hold a current dangerous goods and forklift licence • Strong knowledge and ability to navigate through Auckland roads • Tech-savvy, you will be given a tablet to manage upcoming jobs and streamline deliveries • Confident working independently or as part of a team • Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and police check, strictly no convictions
