Takeaway Cook/Kitchen Hand- Ahipara

A well-known takeaway based in Ahipara is seeking a Cook/Kitchen Hand to join their team. Duties include food preparation, cooking, stocking the shelves and fridges, taking food orders, making milkshakes, serving ice cream, providing customer service and handling payments as well as cleaning up and keeping the store tidy.

The takeaway is open from Wednesday to Sunday within the hours of midday to 8pm with some flexibility based on business needs. It's a favourite spot for locals and those passing through the area. The takeaway serves a variety of foods such as wedges/chips, burgers, hot dogs, fritters, toasties and a range of seafood and meat options.

This role is full-time however the employer is open to discussing part-time work as well. Experience is required and uniform is provided.

1- have reliable transport to get to work on time- so must have Min of Restricted Driver Licence if driving to work. 2- Have experience as a Cook and be available to work the required hours/days including weekends 3- versatile and keen to learn cooking skills in a kitchen 4- physically fit with great communication skills 5- convictions to be disclosed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis
