Class 5 delivery driver
About this job
• Transport goods, materials, and equipment from one location to another using a truck. • Follow all traffic rules and regulations, including speed limits, weight restrictions, and road signs. • Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, including securing the load and checking for damages or missing items. • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking for mechanical issues, tire pressure, and fluid levels. • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts. • Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers to ensure efficient and timely deliveries. • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment, such as reflective vests and hard hats, as necessary. • Report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities, such as law enforcement or the employer.
Job Requirements
• Heavy Truck Driver License, • Clean driving record. • Good customer service skills for interactions with clients. • Ability to maintain the vehicle, including cleaning and refueling. • Must have a can-do attitude. • Ability to commit to working in late evenings and weekends. Also need to pass drug/MOJ check.
