Little Seed Early Learning Centre Pakuranga is looking for a qualified New Zealand Registered Kaiako to join our under 2 room working with infants and toddlers. The position if full time permanent 40 hours a week. We are an eco-friendly centre who provide high quality educational and day care services. The candidates are expected: • To provide a high quality early childhood education through an enriching environment that facilitates the holistic development of child. • To ensure Little Seed Early Learning Centre learning programme meets the needs of individual child and their families using our service. • Work collaboratively with team members and management effectively. • To guide and mentor teacher within your team. • To ensure positive interaction with children, parents, families and fellow kaiako. • To assist management in the smooth and professional operation of the centre. Ability to work both as a member of the team and individually. • Participate in ongoing professional learning and development to enhance individual leadership, management skills, personal growth and capability. • Have knowledge and experience to implement a well-planned learning environment that supports the needs of all children who attend Little Moas • Early Learning Centre. • KEY TASKS AND EXEPCTATIONS • Provide professional leadership to the teaching team, students and others working at Little Seeds including but not limited to: - Build and maintain professional relationships of co-operation and team work - Role model consistent standards, effective communication skills and conflict resolution skills. - Give constructive feedback to team members - Ensure systems are in place necessary to assist team members to meet their job expectations - Provide leadership in implementation and practice of effective teaching strategies and curriculum - Plan for lead and actively participate in regular, documented team meetings - Provide leadership and implementation of daily rosters, routines, key tasks, responsibilities, procedures and policies within your team. - Understand ECE regulations and other statutory requirements, ensure these are consistently being met and up to date. - Induct new and transitioning families and children into the centre. Including organizing and leading visits prior to enrolment. - Induct new teachers into the procedures, practice, rosters and routines of your team and provide on the job training for untrained staff.
