Digger Operator

We are a Civil, Earthmoving & Construction service company based in South Auckland and have been operating since 2017.

We are looking for experienced Digger Operators and Class 4 Truck Drivers.

Key Tasks / Duties:

- Preparing and positioning plant for operation. - Selecting, fitting and removing attachments such as buckets, winches, loading scoops, shovel blades and rock breaking hammers. - Operating controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials. - Monitoring operation of plant and adjusting controls to regulate pressure, speed and flow of operation, and ensuring safety of other workers. - Raising, lowering and manipulating attachments using manual and hydraulic controls - Working from drawings, markers and verbal instructions. - Servicing, lubricating, cleaning and refuelling plant and performing minor adjustments and repairs. - House demolition, digging trenches, preparing sites using laser level, drilling pipes and other related works. - Read plans, measurements and heights comprehension. - Work in teams and unsupervised. - Manoeuvre trucks in place and cartage if required. - Any other duties as required by the owner.

We require someone who is experienced in Class 4 truck driving as Digger Operating and Truck Driving go hand in hand.

-Must have at least 2 years experience as a Digger Operator and 2 years experience as a Class 4 truck driver. -Must have a clean driving and digger operator record. - Must hold a WTR and DG endorsement. - Tipper truck driving skills would be an advantage.
