Class 2 Truck Drivers

A fast growing Invercargill waste management business is looking for skilled class 2 truck drivers. This role will require you to adapt to different types of waste management work from pick ups and drops off of bins to physical work outside of the truck. This may include securing skips, loading wheelie bins into compactor, mucking in with yard work and maintenance. We operate 7 days in all weather and expected hours will be Monday through Friday with rostered weekend work required (approximately one Saturday and one Sunday per month). Requirements for role: *Valid Class 2 Driver’s License. Class 4 driver opportunities also available. *Physically fit *Strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile *Strong customer service focus, communication and interpersonal skills *Reliable team player and a self-starter *Ability to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner *Comply with all safety policies and procedures *Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks *Ability to learn and use company technology and systems – namely an iPad *Pass drug test and police check *NZ residency or a valid work permit. Bonus if you have: *previous waste or recycling experience *loader, hi-ab, gantry or forklift experience. *good geographical knowledge of the Southland area.
