Community Support Worker - Male House

A full time work position for Community Support Worker has arises to our employer based in Weymouth. For you to be successful in this role, you must be available for shift work 24/7 365 days/week. You must have at least Level 1 in Health and Wellbeing and be able to work on both sites in Flatbush and Weymouth. Key responsibilities - Someone who can provide comprehensive support for people with disabilities living in community residential care homes/ vocational services, with the goal of assisting them in reaching their personal goals. - Personal care to the people we support. - Behavioural Management - Medication Assistance - Clinical observation and Support - Safety of the person we support. - Food preparation. - Driving within Auckland. - Emergency responsiveness. - Communication. - Financials - Maintenance Reports To reward you: • An hourly rate of $23.15 – $28.25 depending on Level • An additional weekend rate of $8.02 per hour worked over the weekend • An additional public holiday allowance of $8.02 per hour worked on a public holiday (this is on top of the legal requirement If this sounds like you, please send your CV through to Sharon.Tam004@msd.govt.nz with the job ID on the subject line.

This is working in a male house, so you must be confident in dealing with male clients with disability, and must be physically fit. You are required to pass police vetting, and drug testing, and credit check due to the nature of work Must have a full licence as you will be assisting clients to attend their programs or appointments Must be willing and flexible to work on rostered shift 24/7, 365 days Must have at least Level 1 in Health and Wellbeing or equivalent Commitment to attend training First Aid certificate and ability to operate hoist will be an advantage Must have a good command in English
