Design Consultant

A Te Kuiti based Employer is looking for someone to work as a Design Consultant based in their Te Awamutu branch, you will be required to travel covering anywhere from National Park to Hamilton, Tokoroa to Kawhia and other coastal area’s but a vehicle will be provided. Because a vehicle is provided you will need to have a full clean drivers license for insurance purposes.

In this role you will be Discussing design ideas and provide advice to clients in regards to curtains and flooring as well as preparing drawings, samples and decorating instructions.

You will need to have great computer skills as the employers POS system can be quite difficult to navigate and requires you to work between various different systems. You will need to be good with maths and measurements as the customers the employer services are very particular in getting installments, style and fabric to perfection. If you don't hold any of the above skills you will need to be a fast keen learner alternatively.

This is a trainee role so pay will be minimum wage, but pay rate can be negotiated if you have the required experience. The employer is not in a hurry to fill this position as they are looking for the right fit to join their fantastic team who have been with them for a very long time. The employer is looking for someone who they can grow and will be keen to stay on in employment with them long-term.

Ideally looking for someone with experience in a design/consulting space but happy to train someone up with really good customer service skills, experience and great style.

You will also need a full licence class 1 licence as you will be traveling in this role in a work vehicle.
