Finishing Fettler

Bromley: This employer is seeking a Finishing Fettler with leadership qualities. This employer is a Jobbing Foundry serving a diverse range of customer and producing a wide range of products. The Fettling position completes the finishing stage in the manufacture process of cast aluminium products to meet customer requirements. Proficiency with the use of power tools and machinery is essential as is taking pride in your work and being fussy about producing a high-quality finish. Previous metal work or similar experience would be advantageous. You will be someone who can learn the ropes and confidently take responsibility of the fettling area. You will have a mix of practical skills, personality and professionalism and not be afraid to get your hands dirty. To be successful in the role you will: • Be motivated with initiative with a can-do attitude. • Be physical fit, including lifting, pushing, and pulling. • Have great team skills and able to communicate effectively with other staff and problem solve. • You will have an eye for detail and be accurate in your duties. • Have good time management and sound planning skills to manage your workload and area. • Be willing to take charge and maintain order in finishing / fettling / dispatch area. • Need to be able to work as part of a team and independently. • In time, you have the potential to train others. • Preferably hold a Welding Cert and Forklift Cert This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday and would suit someone who has previous experience in the metal work or manufacturing environment.

Suitable candidates must be physically fit. Previous metal work or similar experience would be advantageous. Must have own reliable transport to get to and from work. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and police checks.
