Support Worker

Evolve Rehabilitation Palmerston North currently has casual contract for enthusiastic, caring and empathetic people to join their team. As a Rehabilitation Coach you will be supporting clients living with stroke and or brain injuries. Your role is to support clients with rehabilitation activities which may include going to the gym, or other daily rehab activities, baking and meal preparation, engaging in conversation, essentially assisting in any way that supports clients to be independent and achieve their personal rehabilitation goals and aspirations. This position will require you to have a good level of physical fitness as you will be required to undertake moving and mobilising for some, but not all clients. A first aid certificate and the understanding of the applied principles of rehabilitation would be an advantage along with the ability to work with clients living with stroke and or brain injuries. The most important skill you can add to this role is a great attitude, understanding and willingness to support client’s values, beliefs, and independence. Personal care of showering and toileting needed depending on individuals needs Initially positions are on a casual contract.

Must be able to pass a drug test and MOJ check. Must have a full license.
