The Onehunga Business Association are seeking a Maintenance Officer. In this varied role you will represent the OBA within the Onehunga business community to ensure the best presentation of Onehunga. Your duties will be to plan and undertake graffiti removal within OBA boundary, weed spraying, garden maintenance, fixing minor issues, e.g. re-attaching loose fence palings, report any issues concerning street cleaning, litter, graffiti, gardens, signage, traffic, parking, lighting etc and you will schedule and provide solutions as appropriate i.e. for graffiti removal and assorted minor maintenance fixes. You will professionally represent OBA to support members with issues and advice to keep their properties tidy, assess risks and follow the Health and Safety plan and deal with street traders and other situations as they arise. You will also attend seminars, training and conferences as approved by the Manager. Other tasks as required.

The ideal applicant will have passion for Onehunga and its wider multi-cultural community, the ability to interact with varying types of people across the community of Onehunga with respect, work closely with Office & Operations Manager regarding any issues, be mature, confident, have initiative and be comfortable working on their own. To be successful - 1- Have Painting experience and some Building / construction skills and that is noted on your CV. 2- Have a Full Class 1 driver licence in order to drive the business vehicles 3- Have some knowledge of Microsoft products, such as Word and Excel. 4- Have an updated CV with at least 1 contactable recent reference. 5- be able ( with a plan on how to get there by 6am ) and willing to work the noted hours. 6- Be drug free in order to pass any testing. 7- Have a Good understanding of oral and written English language. 8- Any convictions are to be disclosed and will be considered case by case.
