A Maori Early Learning Centre in Hapuku, Kaikoura is looking for a Kaiako in Training to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have experience and are comfortable working in a Te Reo Maori setting. Fluency in Te Reo Maori is ideal, however not an expectation. You will have a desire to learn, use and normalise Te Reo Maori and enjoy working with children and their whanau.
In this role you will learn to: • Teach and care for babies and children: Help prepare meals; Clean and tidy up • Plan daily programmes, learning experiences and provide a routine for children • Make and/or adapt learning resources • Discuss children's progress with their parents or caregivers, whanau and other educational professionals
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will: • Have experience and are comfortable working in a Te Reo Maori setting. • Fluency in Te Reo Maori is ideal, however not an expectation. • Have the desire to learn, use and normalise Te Reo Maori and enjoy working with children and their whanau. • Have the ability to pass a drug check and Vetting (Police & Ministry of Justice checks). • Have reliable transport.

- Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm Hours and days are flexible for the right candidate. (30 hours per week)
