Support Worker
About this job
The role of a Support Worker involves providing assistance to individuals in the Westport community; developing their independence and acquiring skills for daily living. Depending on individual care plans, support workers may also assist with tasks such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration. No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided
Job Requirements
Enthusiasm and great people skills; Flexibility for shift work; (some weekends and overnight shifts) Comfortable and proficient in using computers and tablets daily. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Physical fitness to provide necessary physical support. Full NZ driver's license or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
