The company is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join the Motueka based team. Reporting to the Coolstore Manager you will be responsible for ensuring order accuracy and strict exporting protocols are observed to uphold the company’s international brand reputation around quality, compliance and service delivery. The successful candidate will ideally have a sound knowledge of fruit related shipping and dispatch experience or similar and will hold a current forklift operator’s certificate. Experience working with compliance systems and a proactive approach to health and safety are also essential attributes. Other key attributes required for this role include: • Experience loading out product relative to phytosanitary/market restrictions • Accuracy around monitoring loadout requirements such as labels and quality indicators • Confidence working within Secure Export Partnership plan standards • Accuracy maintaining a seals register in accordance with SES approved guidelines • Maintaining and updating system processes as required • Co-ordinating the load out of finished product and ensuring that all necessary documentation is fully completed and 100% accurate • Undertaking data entry of all inwards and outwards stock movements accurately and in a timely manner • Liaising with the company’s marketing staff and transport partners on logistics and movements of product to ensure product is moved on time • Seasonal staff oversight • Flexibility around working extended hours during the season including weekends and public holidays. This is a fulltime permanent position with the successful candidate needing to be in place as early as possible for training purposes. The normal hours of work will be a minimum of 80 hours over the 2-week Monday to Friday pay period with additional hours worked in line with fruit movements.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have demonstrated good organisational, logistical and people management skills in their previous roles. You must also be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and minor criminal convictions must be disclosed and will be looked at on a case by case basis.
