ASHBURTON: FULL-TIME - SEASONAL POSITIONS
Our employer has a number of process worker positions available for the 2024/2025 season for their plant located on Seafield Road, Ashburton.
Applicants must be able to work Saturdays as required. These positions are full-time, minimum 30 hours per week, delivering a minimum $889.80 per week with the potential to earn more when all allowances including piece rates are taken into consideration.
Hours will fluctuate above 30 hours in line with workflows due to the seasonal nature of the business and annual close down periods.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Yard duties and handling of livestock - Process meat carcasses according to customer specifications - Separate organs and glands from carcasses using safe knife handling practices - Operate machinery to process pack and transfer carcasses or products - Pack boned meat and meat products into cartons - Move carcasses to chillers and freezers - Load meat products into trucks - Clean and sanitise work equipment and work areas
Must be allowed to work in New Zealand
A pre-employment Medical (including a Drug and Alcohol test) needs to be completed prior to an offer of employment.

- Lamb day shift 6am – 3pm and night shift 3.30pm – 12.30am Beef day shift 6.30am – 3.30pm and night shift 4pm – 1am (30 hours per week)
