Truck Driver
About this job
Hamilton based employer is seeking Class 4/5 Truck Driver. Ideally with experience and needs to be confident driving a curtain sider. Duties involve but is not limited to driving.
• To ensure Road User Chargers (RUC), Registration, service and COF are up to date. • To complete logbook accurately and in a timely manner. • To ensure all loads are secured appropriately. • To always travel within speed limits having consideration for road conditions, other road users, weather, cargo, signage, and the environment. • To report any traffic infringements immediately to the manager. • To report any incidents, damage or accidents immediately as per company requirements. • To completely care for equipment ensuring truck is kept clean and well-presented Road maintenance & Construction Activities.
Job Requirements
• New Zealand qualification is a preference with good communication skills • Reliable and punctual • Clean Heavy truck Driver’s license –Class 4/5 • Forklift license/Osh DG license is an advantage • Covid vaccination pass • Drug and alcohol test clearance is compulsory • Clean history with no demerits on the license, able to pass MOJ and drug test. • Ability to lift heavy objects • Physical strength, stamina, and dexterity • Knowledge of all the applicable health and safety standards

- Monday – Sunday (Roaster based). A minimum of 30 hours over the period of 5 days per week. (30 hours per week)
