Kitchen Assistant - Fixed Term

Are you passionate about food and looking for an opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment? We're seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term basis in Whakatane!

Key Responsibilities: • Prepare, cook & assemble all food products required for school lunches • Ensure food production follows KPKA menus, recipes, and methods of cookery • Maintain safe work practices in line with standard operational procedures, health & safety processes, food safety (HASSAP) & employee wellbeing in all kitchens • Provide feedback of new food ideas • Advise Food production supervisors & Manager of any surplus stock. Ensure all stock is stored and rotated correctly, including labelling & dating • Advise of site repairs and maintenance • Advise of any role number changes to ensure production levels are adjusted accordingly • Assist the logistics team with service, delivery, loading & unloading of products • Always ensure clean and tidy workspace. Wash & store all dishes as required • Know your daily, weekly work plan
