Indian Restaurant located in Remuera in looking for Kitchens Hands to join their team. Duties include: Assist chefs in the preparation of Indian menu items including cutting and prepping ingredients. Follow directions toward portion control, cooking standards and wastage. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene. Wash pots, pans and other dishes. Dispose of rubbish. Demonstrate Indian basic food preparation skills such as deep frying, sauteing, Idly and Dosa preparation and crafting curry bases. Must have a Passion for cooking, whether through previous experience or a genuine interest in the culinary arts. Attention to detail to ensure every dish meets our high standards of quality. Proficient recipe following skills to replicate our signature flavors consistently. Clean and organized work habits to uphold sanitation and hygiene protocols. A positive attitude that fosters a supportive and collaborative team environment. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, maintaining composure under pressure. Strong teamwork and time management skills for efficient kitchen operations. Minimum 1-2 years of experience and knowledge about Indian food preparation. Compliance with New Zealand Health (NZ)and Safety regulations and company policies and Willingness to undergo police vetting and drug testing.
