Dairy Farm Assistant

***Must be residing in New Zealand to apply for role*** We are looking or a motivated farm assistant to join our team starting as soon as possible. Responsibilities will include milking, feeding out, animal health, general farm work and maintenance. The farm is located 15km south of Matamata along the Kaimai Ranges. The milking herd is 950 cows, on 500ha (flat to rolling to steep) with all young stock on farm, with 4 full time workers. This is a hard farm- big hours and lots of work it is not for the faint hearted. You will be helping with the day to day running of the cowshed, and all other aspects on farm general farm work. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to learn more skills in farming. You will be working along side some great passionate team mates. We operate on a 8 and 2 roster. Lots of staff makes light work of big numbers, but the right attitude is compulsory. Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
Job Requirements
Comfortable driving a 2 and a 4 wheeler. Comfortable (beginner level fine) with driving a tractor. Previous experience in a similar role a bonus but not required. Must be able to work weekends. Must pass pre-employment checks - drugs and MOJ.
