Do you have a passion to see tamariki thrive? Are you passionate about their well-being? Arataki Ministries are looking for a kaimahi to partner with schools, tamariki, and whanau to provide wholistic well-being support across the Dargaville and Kaipara region. This is a full-time (40hrs) per week role. Therefore, availability will be required during school holidays also. The role involves: The delivery of whole of classroom/school mental well-being programmes, developing and sharing of resources for teachers, ensuring whanau involvement and participation, Group and individual support to tamariki experiencing social, emotional or behavioural challenges, collaboration across Health, Education, and Social Sector partners. You will be provided with a work vehicle, cell phone and laptop. It is a requirement that the successful candidate is to attain their level 4 Health and Well Being qualification, within the first 2 years.
Job Requirements
- Have experience working with tamariki - Good understanding of Mental Health and Well-being - A good understanding of Te Ao Maori - Excellent communication skills - A Full clean Class 1 driver’s license - A clear Police record
