Dairy Farm Assistant

A Waharoa farmer is looking for someone to join their busy farming team to assist with all duties around the property. These may include, but are not limited to; 1. Milking: Assists in efficient and hygienic milking routine. Follows procedure to produce high quality milk. 2. Animals: Assists in the safe handling of animals, reports any health and welfare issues as per farm policy. 3. Feed: Controls weeds. Sets break fences and feeds out as directed. 4. Environment: Assists with nutrient, effluent and water management as directed by farm policy. 5. People: Works well with others, building a strong team culture. 6. Machine, Vehicles and Technology: Safely uses and maintains vehicles on farm as directed by on farm policy. 7. Health, safety and wellbeing: Involved in building a health, safety and wellbeing culture. Models farms health, safety and wellbeing policy. 8. Other farm tasks as required
Job Requirements
On the job training will be offered, however minimum of 6 months experience is required. MUST have a FULL drivers license. Absolutely no drugs - have to pass pre-employment test. Clean criminal record also required.
