Dairy Farm Assistant
About this job
We are looking for a dairy farm assistant to join our team. Based in Mercer our farm is made up of three dairy farms of around 265 hectares each on flat to rolling land milking 1000 cows in each unit through a 60-bail rotary. You will be part of a supportive team, working in a learning environment where you can develop your skills and gain valuable experience. Daily Tasks • Milking 1000 cows • Fencing • Weed Control • Effluent Management • Feed out to stock. Accommodation on the farm is available
Job Requirements
You will be a team player that enjoys working in a close-knit environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following: • Work experience is not necessary, but any experience is an advantage. • Good communication skills, punctuality, and tidiness. • Self-Motivating • Current Drivers Licence • Physically Fit • Strong passion for dairy farming • Ability to work unsupervised and self-manage.
