About this job
Your tasks and responsibilities will include: - Helping clean equipment, preparation areas, and general utensils used in our busy kitchen. - Adhering to kitchen hygiene, food, and health and safety standards. - Assisting with ensuring our chefs can provide a smooth food service that reduces waste and delivers delicious meals. - Assisting with the preparation and preservation of food. - Cooking, and heat food items. - Preparing ingredients. Skills and experience To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will: - Have experience working in a restaurant either overseas or in New Zealand. - Have full ability to work an array of days and shift times including public holidays and weekends. - Be strong – sometimes you’ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg).
