Established in 2022, our restaurant is the first in New Zealand to combine traditional conveyor belt sushi with a “bullet train” that delivers customised orders direct to the customer’s table. Our menu offers both fresh sushi selections as well as more traditional Japanese cuisine. As the Sushi Chef you will be responsible for preparing food based on recipes and techniques with superb attention to detail. This includes high quality sushi preparation, cooking rice, rolling sushi, temperature recording, cutting, and packaging for both in-house and catering. As well prepare appetizers, soups, and salads that are close to the philosophy of Japanese cuisine. Responsible to for updating menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences and monitoring taste, quality, and portion control of all food production. Job Requirements

Must have a strong attention to detail. Great communication skills to collaborate well with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service. Adhere to strict food safety and sanitation regulations during food preparation and handling, including correct storage and rotation of ingredients. Full training will be provided.
