Irrigation Technician/Machinery Operator

We are looking for a team member who ideally has some experience with irrigation equipment and tractor/harvester driving. The position ensures that our irrigation equipment, such as driplines, water lines, pumps, suction devices, and valves are all used and maintained according to standards and site requirements. On any given day you could be mowing, spraying, mulching, trimming, and moving equipment around the property. You must be comfortable operating a variety machinery including tractors, machine harvesters and 4-wheel motorbikes, as well as the use of manual tools. You will also be tasked with day-to-day maintenance tasks such as fencing, canopy construction and trellis maintenance, and ensure the machinery and equipment is washed down and cleaned at the end of the day, if required to. Full NZ Driver’s license is required. Experience with irrigation/machinery and industry experience would be advantageous, although not essential as full training will be provided. Must be comfortable working both independently and within a team and willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather. Must be fit, healthy and capable of doing heavy lifting - the role is a very physical one.
